LifeForce - Energy in the NHS

A widefocus report into how energy is consumed within the NHS, examining the problem, the consequences and giving initial direction for possible solutions. The research report undertaken for Element 06 and Lightweight Medical is based on up to date technical information on both the NHS and the NHS Scotland. Lightweight Medical is a problem led product design engineering company who focus on developing environmentally and socially responsible solutions to real needs. This report complements the extensive knowledge base in the health care sector built up by Lightweight Medical.

Boots lunchtime packaging

Recognising the global concern for the environment Boots plc has been driving towards a more sustainable future. Boots employ a corporate and social responsibility initiative (CSR) which amongst other things covers sustainable product development. Through a long standing association they have consulted Loughborough University to assess and improve their ‘Lunchtime’ food packaging from an environmental perspective.
